令和5年度文化庁長官表彰のご報告とお礼
Award report with thanks of Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner’s Award 2023
2023年12月19日に、京都の式典にて文化庁長官表彰を頂戴いたしました。
On December 19, 2023, I received a commendation from the Commissioner of the Agency for Cultural Affairs at a ceremony in Kyoto.
皆様にはこれまでご支援頂きましたおかげと、心から感謝しております。本当にありがとうございました。
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for your support. I'm really thankful to you all.
Award says:
“You have been active as a perfumer for many years, and have made a great contribution to disseminating Japanese culture to overseas through your creative collection, which source the respect for Japanese history and culture. We here praise your achievement and award commissioner commendation to you.”
文化庁よりお知らせを頂いた当初は、実感が湧きませんでしたが、お式が進むにしたがい、徐々に国から賞を頂いたという意味を深く受け止め、身の引き締まる思いが致しました。
When I first received the notification from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, it hadn’t hit me yet and couldn’t believe it. But as the ceremony progressed, I gradually realized the meaning of receiving an award from Japan, and I felt to become tense.
それは、2018年に「匂いの帝王」から作品に四つ星を頂いた時の喜びとは、また別種の感慨がございます。
It is a different kind of deep emotion from the joy I felt when I received four stars for my works from the "Emperor of Smells" in 2018.
今までは、香水はファッションの一部として捉えられ、一般の方に「香水による日本文化の外交」という活動をご理解していただくのは困難な道のりでした。
このたび、国として「香水が文化である」と認めて頂けたことは、大きな一歩だと考えております。
Up until now, perfumes have been regarded as a part of fashion, and it has been difficult to get the general public to realize my activities as "diplomacy of Japanese culture through perfumes''.
I think it is a big step that the country recognizes that “perfume is also a culture”.
しかしながら、文化庁から「香りの外交官」という心意気に対しての賞はいただいたものの、ブランドとしての実力や調香師としてはいまだ発展途上です。
この賞を一つの道標として、さらに努力精進して参りたいと思っております。
However, although I received an award from the Agency for Cultural Affairs for my spirit as a “fragrant diplomat,” I am still in the middle-of-the-road as a brand and as a perfumer.
With this award as a milestone, I would like to continue to work even harder.
お客様、お取引先さま、業界の諸先輩、スタッフ、関係者のお一人ずつご挨拶に伺いたい思いでいっぱいですが、まずはこの場にて、皆様に心からのお礼と、ご報告申し上げます。
I am having a full of thoughts to meet and greet each and every one of our customers, business partners, industry seniors, staff, and related parties, but first, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you.
末永くご愛顧を頂けますよう、今後もご指導、ご教示の程宜しくお願い致します。
I look forward to your continued favor, support and guidance, for many years to come.
